Bio: The Pearly Whites
If Nas says that Hip-Hop is dead, then The Pearly Whites must be the resurrection. These 2 mc’s are bringing the music a whole new style and sound. Their beats are pounding. Their raps are fierce and you can’t help but want to sing along with every chorus. At a time when rap music needs it the most a new group emerges to take it somewhere it’s never been before.Growing up in Orlando, Florida Chad Cline and Jesse Fox met in elementary school. Their friendship followed into middle school and became close friends by high school. It was in high school that they both fell in love with music and dreamt of a career in the industry. However not everyone would share this enthusiasm. With a different background than most aspiring mc’s the two were quickly discouraged by friends and family. Not knowing how to pursue their dreams after highs school the two went their separate ways but promised to keep the dream alive.
Jesse Fox the Producer and architect of the Pearly Whites sound had DJ’d in high school and dabbled in beat making in college. With no passion for the career he was pursuing he lost his focus and found himself in legal troubles. Vowing to turn his life around he joined Full Sail a music production school. There Jesse earned his degree in recording and engineering. Upon graduation he began interning at a local studio and was allowed to use the studio in return for his hard work. This is where he really began mastering his craft of beat-making and song writing.
Chad Cline, the groups fiercest mc, went to college in Gainesville, Florida but soon dropped out. Instead he took a position in the family business. He learned the aspects of running a business and networking that would be useful in the future. Chad spent many nights perfecting his writing to beats that Jesse would give him. He would drive to Orlando on weekends and they would record his ideas. His constant hustle meant a lot of struggle and sacrifice in his personal life.
On weekends they spent as much time as possible in the recording studio. Sleeping very little they made sure to take full advantage of this opportunity. But like all good things that must come to an end the studio was abruptly shut down. Jesse and Chad were left stranded with nowhere to record their music, their dreams.
Prepared to not let anything stop their future they set up a low budget studio in Jesse’s parent’s basement. The vocal booth was made out of cardboard and bed matting. You could not record with the A/C on so it was extremely hot. The equipment was nothing to brag about and they often found themselves laughing at their situation. Realizing their reality they wanted to create music that would reflect their lives and current predicament. With this in mind they recorded a compilation of songs to be their debut album dubbed “The Cardboard Box Project”.
In November of 06 The Pearly Whites opened up for T.I., Trick Daddy, T-Pain and Dj Unk. Their performance was so overwhelming they caught the eye of local radio and lots of doors began opening. Their first two singles off their album spawned number one hits in Gainesville, Florida and gained national exposure through MySpace.com. It wasn’t long till almost every major record label was calling but no one could see their vision. Now The Pearly Whites have acquired national distribution for their cd through the retail chain F.Y.E.. As well as being available for digital download on I tunes and Rhapsody.com. You can expect big things from these up and coming stars. With an independent release in stores now and many other things in the works it wont be long until these two reach mainstream success. Expect greatness. The Pearly White’s are here!
